1963 Fender Stratocaster - Willie's Guitars

1963 Fender Stratocaster - Willie's Guitars

Sunburst, with original tortoise shell pickguard. You might say that never happened. 1. Yes, there were tortoise pickguards at the Fender factory in 1963, ask an experienced vintage dealer like us.  They are rare but Sunburst with tortoise did happen. 2. The previous owner has owned it since 1970 and it’s straight. Nobody make repro plastic in the 70’s for a guitar that was just a few years old. It’s a way cool look too. Has a new logo and one rewound pickup and the 5th fret is replaced. Has the original three-way selector, pots, tuners, bridge and saddles. A nice big late ’63 neck (clay dot of course) and nice three-tone over alder body with no routs. It does have a lot of dings and scratches of a well-loved guitar that was used in bands for years but no real abuse. You’ll love the tone and feel. Comes with the original white Tolex hard case.
